Tips for ordering:
1. Have an idea of what kind of design you want. Pictures help! When I’m trying to think of ideas, I like to do a quick search in Google Images and find some cakes that other people have made that I like. A picture can help give us a starting place.
2. Know how many people you want to feed with the cake. There can be a big difference in cost between wanting to feed 20 people and wanting to feed 40 people.
3. Take a look at the flavors page and see what you’d like. Please note that not all flavors can be carved into shapes. And that not all icings can be put underneath fondant. I can always help in this department if you have an idea of what design you want.
4. Please keep in mind that my minimum charge is $100 for a cake. A lot of time goes into mixing batter and icing, baking, cleanup, designing, filling, stacking, carving, icing and decorating. Even if it’s just a 1 tier cake. Each cake is custom made and baked from scratch with fresh ingredients.
5. Please remember that I need at least one month’s notice for a cake. I work a full time job and I do try to have a social life on occasion
. The more notice I can get, the better.
How to order?
Read the tips above! Then send me an email at sugarbitescakes @ gmail.com (sorry for the weird format. I want to cut down on spam) with as much information as you can. Email is the best way to get a hold of me. If you want to discuss your cake over the phone, please include your phone number in your email and let me know when the best time is to call you and I’ll call you!

Hi Megan,
I love your cakes. I too have a cake business out of my house. I am a teacher in my “real” life. I live in Lloydminster, AB which is about 2.5 hours away from Saskatoon. I was wondering where you get your edible images printed. I haven’t found anywhere here that will do them. I haven’t taken any classes and am completely self taught as we don’t have a Michaels here. I would like to use more edible images if I could figure out where to get them printed.
Also, do you have trouble with people paying the money for the cakes. I have only been charging $50 because there are all the store bakeries here as well as some other cake decorators.
Thanks
Laura

Hi Megan,
My daughter turns 3 on Saturday, I took the Wilton course last year and mostly make cakes for my family. My daughter is a HUGE fan of The Big Comfy Couch… which is how I found your blog. I’ve been fascinated with all your cakes… you are amazing at what you do!
I was looking at your comfy couch… and I’m wondering about your Molly and Loonette dolls specifically… what colours did you use to recreate them and how did you get the little details done?
I’d love it, if you can offer me some insight. I can’t wait to surprise my daughter, she’s been asking for a ‘molly’ cake!
Thank you so much
