At my new job I am working with my friend Pam who I’ve known since before her kids were born. Her youngest is now turning 14 and Pam ordered a horse cake for her birthday. She gave me free reign *insert groans here* for the design.
I thought about doing a more realistic horse, but after a couple attempts, I found that would be VERY difficult. So I decided to go with a really cute cartoony horse.

Can you explain a little more how you did some of the intricate details, like the mane, the grass all over the cake and how you got the horse to stand? I absolutely love the cake concept and would like to recreate it. Did you use any special tools?
